Mapei Purtop Easy is a ready-to-use elastic polyurethane waterproofing membrane for roofs, balconies and terraces.   Once applied, in just a few hours Mapei Purtop Easy forms a seamless, elastic membrane with no overlaps and excellent crack-bridging properties, which is able to withstand normal dynamic stresses acting on structures. Thanks to the complete range of primers available, Mapei Purtop Easy adheres perfectly to numerous types of substrate.

  Mapei Purtop Easy has excellent mechanical properties that remain stable over the years, making the product highly durable. Purtop Easy is easy to apply by trowel or spray on horizontal, vertical, and sloping surfaces. Purtop Easy complies with the principles defined in EN 1504-9 (“Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures: definitions, requirements, quality control and evaluation of conformity.   General principles for the use of products and systems”) and the minimum requirements of EN 1504-2 coating (C) according to principles PI, MC, PR, RC e IR (“Surface protection systems for concrete”). Purtop Easy is a membrane certified for use as a liquid waterproofing system for roofing in accordance with ETAG 005 (refer to the Purtop Easy System Roof System data sheet).   More product detail

It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.

 

Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.

 

If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What is Mapei Purtop Easy used for?

Mapei Purtop Easy is a one-component elastic polyurethane waterproofing membrane designed for roofs, terraces, balconies, walkways, pedestrian areas, and green roofs. It can be used on concrete, cementitious screeds, ceramics, fibre-cement boards, old bituminous membranes, and metal surfaces.

How is Purtop Easy applied?

Purtop Easy is supplied ready to use and can be applied by trowel or spray on horizontal, vertical, and sloping surfaces. It is normally applied in at least two even coats to achieve a total dry thickness of more than 1.2 mm. When mixed with Purtop ADY, it may be applied in a single 1.2 mm coat.

What coverage does Purtop Easy provide?

Consumption is approximately 2 kg/m² for a 1.2 mm dry film thickness. Actual coverage may vary depending on substrate texture and unevenness, so rough or irregular surfaces will require more material.

What are the application temperature limits and drying time?

Purtop Easy should be applied at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. The waiting time between coats, and before putting into service, is 24 hours at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. The product should not be applied if rain is expected, if dew is present, or on substrates with residual moisture above 4%.

Is Purtop Easy suitable for exposed roofs and long-term waterproofing?

Yes. Once cured, Purtop Easy forms a seamless, highly elastic waterproof membrane with excellent crack-bridging performance and durability. The Purtop Easy System Roof has a certified service life of 25 years according to ETAG 005. It maintains its mechanical properties at temperatures down to -40°C, although as an aromatic polyurethane membrane it may show some colour change or slight chalking if left without a protective finish.
