Everbuild Liquid Roof FAQ's
What is Everbuild Liquid Roof and what are its key benefits for roofing projects?
Everbuild Liquid Roof is a fast-curing, polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing membrane designed for both flat and pitched roofs. Its key benefits include excellent adhesion to various substrates, moisture-activated curing (no catalyst needed), and fast rain resistance in just 10 minutes.
It’s ready to use, can be applied with a brush or roller, forms a seamless membrane, and is elastic, retaining flexibility even at low temperatures, making it ideal for both new construction and refurbishing existing, leaky roofs.
How quickly does Everbuild Liquid Roof cure and what weather conditions is it suitable for?
Everbuild Liquid Roof is fast-curing and becomes rain resistant in just 10 minutes. Its unique moisture-activated curing system allows it to cure even if a pool of water forms on top. The product is an “all-weather product” suitable for application when the ambient air temperature is between +5°C and +40°C, and the substrate temperature is between +5°C and +60°C.
What surfaces can I use Everbuild Liquid Roof on, and are there any specific application instructions?
Everbuild Liquid Roof is highly versatile and can be used on concrete, mortar, brick, stone, fibre cement, roof tiles, metals, wood, and tiles. It’s also suitable for roofing felt, asphalt, and bituminous coatings, although full reinforcement must be used on these surfaces.
For application, ensure the substrate is clean, sound, and free from dust. Generally, priming is not required, but for porous or irregular surfaces, an additional priming coat of 0.25-0.3L/m² should be applied. At least two coats of 1 mm depth are needed, with drying times between coats varying from 4 hours (at +30°C/50% r.h.) to overnight curing (at +5°C/50% r.h.).
Does Everbuild Liquid Roof require any special tools or reinforcement during application?
Everbuild Liquid Roof can be applied easily using a soft bristle brush or a solvent-resistant roller. While generally easy to apply, it can be reinforced with a suitable reinforcing fleece, particularly when applying onto asphalt, roofing felt, and bituminous coatings, as these surfaces may soften after application.
For wood substrates, it should always be applied in conjunction with a suitable fleece, such as Sikalastic Fleece 120.
What are the storage requirements for Everbuild Liquid Roof, and what is its shelf life
Everbuild Liquid Roof Waterproofing System has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers. It should be stored upright in its original packaging in a dry, well-ventilated area at 0°C to 25°C, protected from sunlight and frost. Storage temperatures above 25°C may reduce its shelf life, and once opened, the product begins to react with air, so it’s recommended to plan on using all material in one go.
