It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 is a fibre-reinforced, self-levelling compound. It’s designed for renovating existing floors in commercial and domestic settings, levelling and smoothing differences in thickness from 3 to 40 mm in a single application. It can be applied by hand or pump.
What types of surfaces can Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 be applied on?
It can be applied over new or existing concrete, screeds, stone, terrazzo, ceramic tiles, old and new timber floors (floorboards, chipboard panels, plywood for dry locations), and underfloor/undertile heating systems. It’s suitable for various floor finishes like tile, stone, vinyl, carpet, and wood.
What kind of preparation is needed before applying Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240?
The substrate must be solid, free of dust, loose particles, paint, oil, and other contaminants. Timber substrates need to be clean, fixed, and have sealed open joints (e.g., with Planiprep Fix). Cementitious surfaces require priming with Eco Prim Grip Plus or Eco Prim T Plus, and cracks should be repaired with Eporip.
4. How is Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 mixed and what is its coverage?
Mix a 25 kg bag with 4.25-4.5 litres of clean water using a low-speed electric mixer until homogeneous and lump-free. The mix should be used within 20 minutes. Coverage is approximately 6 m² at 3 mm thickness.
How long does Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 take to set, and when can different floor coverings be bonded?
Setting time is 40-90 minutes, and it’s walkable after 3-12 hours. For ceramic tiles, you can bond them after 3-12 hours. For resilient and wood floors, wait 24-72 hours before bonding.
