It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.
Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.
If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What is Bona R540 ?
Bona R540 is a primer/damp-proof membrane for absorbent and non-absorbent sub-floors.
What subfloors can I use Bona R540 on?
Bona R540 is suitable for use on:
- Suitable substrates (also in association withunderfloor heating) are:
- Cementitious screed (CT) according to EN13813
- Calcium sulfate screed (CA) according to EN13813 Only as primer. Must not be used as an DPM
- Concrete
- New chipboards (P4-P7) or OSB 2 – OSB 4boards, screwed tightly
- Mastic asphalt screed (AS) according to EN13813, properly sanded
- Dry screed material
- Old and new dry and sound sub floors
- Bona levelling compounds can be applied by using Bona D520 as intermediate primer
How do I prepare the subfloor before using Bona R540?
The substrate must in general be even, totally dry, clean, free from cracks and physically sound. The surface should also be slightly textured. Cementitious screeds must be sanded, and vacuum cleaned thoroughly. If applicable, it must meet the requirements of local standards or codes of practice. Any separating or weak layers such like loose old adhesives, levelling compounds, paints, grease etc. which can disturb the adhesion of the following applications, must be completely removed by using appropriate methods (e.g. Bona FlexiSand with Diamond segments). Vacuum the substrate afterwards.
How much Bona R540 do I need?
As a primer approximately 100-150 g/m²
Moisture barrier approximately 250-350 g/m² in two coats.
