It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.
Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.
If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What is Sika Blue Grit and what is it used for?
Sika Blue Grit is a ready-to-use, water-based plaster bonding agent containing fine aggregate. It creates a mechanical key on smooth or low-suction backgrounds, enabling plaster to bond reliably to surfaces it would otherwise struggle to grip. It is used as a bonding coat for walls prior to plastering, and for bonding to difficult substrates including glass, ceramics, MR plasterboard, MDF, pre-cast concrete and other particle boards. The blue colour makes it easy to check coverage during application and avoid missing areas. It is not recommended for ceiling applications and is not suitable for use with dot and dab installations or in areas subject to constant damp.
How do I apply Sika Blue Grit, and how much do I need?
Stir well before use. Apply a single coat by short-pile roller or brush at ambient and surface temperatures above +5°C, ensuring even coverage across the full area. Do not dilute – the product is ready to use straight from the tub. Protect adjacent surfaces from splashes and remove any overspray with warm soapy water before it dries. Coverage is approximately 4.5m² per litre depending on substrate porosity. One coat only is required – do not apply a second coat.
How long does Sika Blue Grit take to dry before plastering?
Allow a minimum of 6 hours drying time at +20°C before applying plaster. Drying time will be significantly extended at lower temperatures, so allow additional time in cooler conditions. The surface must be thoroughly dry before plastering proceeds – applying plaster over a still-tacky or damp coat of Blue Grit will compromise adhesion.
What is the shelf life of Sika Blue Grit?
The shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture in a sealed, undamaged container. Store in cool, dry conditions away from frost. Do not allow the product to freeze, as this will affect performance.
