It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.
Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.
If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What is Mapei Primer LT?
Mapei Primer LT is a multi-purpose acrylic based primer for indoor use on absorbent surfaces before the application of Ultratop Loft and of Mapei cementitious skimming mortars and between the layers of Ultratop Loft.
Where can I use Mapei Primer LT?
- Primer for Ultratop Loft on vertical absorbent surfaces;
- Primer between the layers of Ultratop Loft on horizontal and vertical surfaces;
- Preparing compact, smooth cementitious screeds and concrete floors that need to be levelled off with a MAPEI skimming products;
- Treating surfaces with traces of cementitious adhesive or an old, well-bonded skim coat before skimming the surface or applying adhesive;
- Treating the surface of gypsum, anhydrite, wood, marine plywood, chipboard, Terrazzo style tiles etc. before skimming the surface or applying adhesive.
How do I prepare the surface before using Mapei Primer LT?
- When using the product as an intermediate layer between two skim coats of Ultratop Loft, make sure the first coat is hard and dry.
- Substrates must be dry, sound, clean and have no dust, loose material, cracks, old paint, wax, oil or any other material or contamination in general that could reduce the penetration of the product in the substrate.
- All the dust on the surface must be thoroughly removed by vacuum.
- Floating screeds installed on lightened sub-layers or insulating material, and screeds installed directly on the ground, must be isolated by a vapour barrier.
How do I apply Mapei Primer LT?
Apply Primer LT evenly by roller or brush on the whole surface to treat. The product can be diluted with water with the following ratios by weight, depending on the type of substrate:
▪ 1:1 when applied between the layers of Ultratop Loft
▪ 1:2 on cementitious or anhydrite substrates
▪ Neat on wood
Wait until the product is dry and apply the following layer of Ultratop Loft or the cementitious skimming product required. The waiting time is usually from 2 to 3 hours after applying the primer, depending on the ambient temperature and relative humidity. It is recommended not to exceed 24 hours.
How much Mapei Primer LT do I need?
When applied between the layers of Ultratop Loft the consumption is approximately 0.1 kg/m². On other substrates, the consumption is from 0.1 to 0.2 kg/m² depending on the absorbency and the method of application.
