Which has numerous uses as an admixture, primer, bonding agent and sealer for use in areas subject to humidity, dampness and water contact. Improves water resistance of cement mixtures by forming a reinforcing polymer that increases long term durability and flexibility of the mix on renderings and floor screeds. An admixture for cement and concrete applications, including repair and renovation, surfacing of floors and bonding generally. It contains anti-foam to control the density of cementitious mixes. NOTE: Replaces Sikabond SBR+

It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.

 

Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.

 

If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

Sika SikaBond SBR can be used for:

  • Waterproofing and tanking mortar preparation.

  • Silage pit lining and protection.
  • Admixture for mortar, screeds and renders.
  • Bonding agent for screeds and renders.

  • Recommended for exterior use, unlike most PVA bonding aids.
  • Flexibliser for cementicious-based tile adhesive when tiling on wooden or asphalt floors.
How do I prepare the surface before applying Sika SikaBond SBR?

Ensure the surface is sound, clean and free of dirt, dust, flaking paint / render and grease. Agitate the bottle of SikaBond SBR before use. If the substrate is porous, first prime with 1 part SikaBond SBR diluted with up to 3 parts clean water and allow to dry.

For concrete repair, brick slip and tile fixing mortars, prepare surfaces toprovide a gripping profile by suitable methods.

What is the pot life of Sika SikaBond SBR?

The pot life is 30 minutes.

How do I apply Sika SikaBond SBR?
  1. Apply topping or screed onto wet or tacky primer.
  2. Compact and level with screed bar. Finish with steel float. It is essential that the topping or screed is finished as the work proceeds.
  3. The topping or screed would be cured for 1 – 2 days using conventional techniques. Curing should be started quickly after application.
