Product Description
Mapei Ultrabond Tack TX+ Carpet Tile Adhesive is a solvent-free non-staining acrylic-adhesive in water dispersion.
Mapei Ultrabond Tack TX+ carpet tile adhesive is a solvent-free, non-staining acrylic-based adhesive designed to provide a permanently tacky film when dry, to allow the removal and replacement of carpet tiles when required. It can also be used to prevent loose lay LVT, textile floorings and carpet underlayments from slipping or moving. For interior use only.
Use Ultrabond Eco Tack TX+ for:
- Bonding carpet tiles backed with PVC, polypropylene, fibre backed bitumen and other polymer backings.
- Suitable onto concrete, cementitious screeds, raised access floor panels, asphalt, terrazzo, plywood, smoothing compounds and some existing floor coverings.
- Ultrabond Eco Tack TX+ is also suitable for use over underfloor heating systems (surface temperature must not exceed British Standard recommendations). The heating should be switched off at least 48 hours before and after the installation of floor covering.
- In areas subject to excessive variations of temperature, and floor coverings not completely dimensionally stable, care should be taken as movement may occur causing gaping.

It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.
Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.
If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What types of flooring can I install with Mapei Ultrabond Eco Tack TX+?
This adhesive is specifically designed for the installation of dimensionally stable carpet tiles with various backings (bitumen/felt, PVC, polypropylene, etc.). It is also suitable for carpet paddings, loose-lay textile floorings, and loose-lay LVT.
How long does Mapei Ultrabond Eco Tack TX+ take to dry before I can lay the flooring?
On absorbent substrates, the waiting time is typically 10–20 minutes. You must wait for the adhesive to dry into a transparent, tacky film before laying the tiles. To ensure the tiles remain removable, do not install the flooring while the adhesive is still wet, as this will create a permanent bond.
What is the coverage rate (consumption) per square metre?
Consumption varies depending on the smoothness and absorption of the substrate, typically ranging between 50g and 100g per m². It is recommended to apply the product evenly using a roller to ensure consistent coverage.
Can Mapei Ultrabond Eco Tack TX+ be used in rooms with underfloor heating?
Yes, Ultrabond Eco Tack TX+ is suitable for use over underfloor heating systems. However, the heating must be switched off at least 48 hours before and after installation, and the surface temperature must not exceed levels prescribed by local regulations.
How do I clean up the adhesive after application?
While the adhesive is still fresh, it can be easily cleaned off tools and surfaces with water. Once the adhesive has hardened or dried, you will need to use alcohol or a specific cleaner like Mapei Pulicol 2000 for removal.
