Product Description
- for the permanent bonding of dimensionally stable PVC/vinyl sheet and tiles and most carpets
- as a pressure sensitive adhesive for the release bonding of underlays, carpet tiles, vinyl’s and dimensionally stable carpet, it may be applied over all normal moisture stable substrates used in construction; wood, PVC, rubber, semi-flexible vinyl, linoleum, raised oors/panels of all types, ceramic, marble etc
- in areas of wheeled and heavy foot traf c, it is non-flammable and does not contain toxic substances and has an extremely low emission level of volatile organic compounds (EMICODE EC1 Plus) which makes it harmless to those who use the product and the environment in which it is used, it may also be stored without taking any particular precautions
- over under oor heating systems (surface temperature must not exceed British Standard recommendations) the heating should be switched off at least 48 hours before and after the installation of the floor covering.

It is the customers responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. If the courier is unable to deliver your order due to issues with access to the delivery address, your goods will be returned to the local delivery depot for delivery on the next working day. Please note a redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied. If your order is undelivered and returned to us a restocking fee may also be applied.
Please inform us of any delivery restrictions (eg weight restrictions, narrow roads). Failure to do so may incur a redelivery charge if the courier cannot access the delivery address due to undeclared or incorrect delivery restrictions. A redelivery charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied.
If your order is over 150kg it may be delivered on a pallet. The courier will notify you of a two hour delivery window. In the event that no one is available at the address to receive the delivery a charge of up to £89 plus VAT per pallet may be applied for redelivery.

What types of flooring can Mapei Ultrabond Eco Fix be used with?
Ultrabond Eco Fix is suitable for the permanent bonding of dimensionally stable PVC/vinyl sheet, vinyl tiles, and most carpets. It can also be used as a pressure-sensitive release adhesive for carpet tiles, vinyl, underlays, and dimensionally stable carpet. It is compatible with a wide range of substrates including concrete, wood, PVC, rubber, linoleum, ceramic, marble, and raised floor panels.
How much floor area will a 15kg bucket cover?
When applied with an A2-notched trowel, a 15kg bucket will cover approximately 95–110 m². If applied by roller, coverage increases to approximately 105–150 m². Actual coverage will vary depending on the smoothness of the substrate.
Can Mapei Ultrabond Eco Fix be used over underfloor heating?
Yes, it can be used over underfloor heating systems, provided the surface temperature does not exceed British Standard recommendations. The heating must be switched off at least 48 hours before and 48 hours after installation of the floor covering.
How long does the adhesive take to dry, and how do I know when it's ready?
Drying time is typically 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the amount applied, substrate type, and temperature conditions. For a release bond, the adhesive should be left until it changes colour from white to transparent before laying the floor covering. For a permanent bond, the flooring should be laid while the adhesive is still wet.
How should the product be stored, and what is its shelf life?
Mapei Ultrabond Eco Fix has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in its original, unopened packaging. It must be protected from frost. Installation and storage temperatures should be between +15°C and +35°C.
